Trevor and Sheila Bridges, April 2009
"The hotel facilities are of a very high standard and our room was very comfortable. The food was excellent…however, what made our stay extra special was the helpful friendliness of the staff. The BWWC is a brilliant concept and advice enabled us to meet two main objectives – seeing Capercaillie and crested tits. We also saw ospreys plunge diving which was fabulous. Could you pass on our thanks and compliments to all our staff. We look forward to a return visit."
Barrie Tumbridge, April 2009
"I have already e-mailed the hotel to thank them for such a wonderful weekend spent with you...I would like to thank you for your help and hard work. We will be visiting again and will need to call on your obvious expertise once more."
Robert Townhill, April 2009
"We are now in the process of setting up a group holiday with you for fourteen people as we were so impressed when we visited."
Lesley and Robert Wright, April 2009
"Can't thank you enough for your help this week, it's been brilliant. We've seen so much, badgers being one of the best. We will be back."
Phil and Barbara Collins , March 2009
"We had a fantastic time in the Highlands made even better by the advice and help you provided. It was much appreciated. We wish you a great summer of bird and wildlife watching. "
Malcolm Best, February 2009
"We had a superb break, and there is no question that your tips and advice made a huge difference. Best wishes for the continuing success of the BWWC."
Julie Rogers , February 2009
"I had such a fantastic few days birdwatching and saw everything I hoped for (except the bogey Red-necked Grebes!). The trip up to the Cairngorms was amazing - truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I didn't expect to get Ptarmigan in the conditions, but the one we did find was obliging enough to give us a good look before it flew off. I think it even topped the Capercaillie as the tick of the trip!!"
Glynis Lawson, February 2009
"Thanks again for your input into a wonderful stay at the Grant Arms. You were right about Loch Garten. We called in and saw four red squirrels on the feeding station at the same time. We look forward to seeing you again as we will definitely be returning."
Sandra and Phil Slegg, November 2008
"At Loch Garten saw Crested Tits and Coal Tits on feeder. Five Red Squirrels! Greater Spotted Woodpecker collected pine cone stored it in hole in dead birch at rear Visitor Centre. Walked along stream at Nethy Bridge saw Dipper. Safari very good. Saw Roe/Red Deer, Red Grouse and Brown Hare. Thanks for all your help."
Pete Manley, October 2008
"...a big “thankyou” for your input to my short stay at the hotel. Your knowledge and the manner in which you were able to put it across was excellent. I particularly enjoyed your talk on Red Deer. I shall be able to pass on so much info to others because of the talk. I hope to see you in the future."
Chris and Jean Cook, October 2008
"...We had a good 3 hour walk in Anagach Wood: Goosander at the start on the Spey, Red Squirrels, Crested Tits, Redwing, Thrush, Goldcrests, lots of Treecreepers...On our way to Loch-an-Eilein good sighting of Dipper from the bridge. Did not see Pine Martens but good sightings of Red Deer and a single Badger. Thanks again for all your advice and guidance during our stay, the concept is really good. We will be back."
Margaret Withers, September 2008
"We had a great holiday and are already thinking of another trip. The briefings really give a chance to get to know other people. It’s a great set-up."
Duncan Gurney, August 2008
"...we found the whole concept wonderful, enjoyed the early morning walk and the evening briefings. The information as to where to go and what to see was invaluable – we could have spent days looking for the dolphins!!!"
Su Haselton, July 2008
"Firstly I should say that the road links from NW England right through to Grantown are excellent and that the hotel was easy to find – a good start to any holiday! The hotel was very well appointed and the overwhelming feature was the friendliness and good service provided by everyone...the serving times for both breakfast and evening meal enabled flexibility, especially in the evening, as you did not feel you had to rush to get back for a certain time from your day out. The BWWC is an excellent idea and its main selling feature for me in booking the holiday was its non-regimented approach. Information and ideas would be provided but your time was your own...I was however extremely disappointed – there were not enough days in the holiday nor hours in the day to see everything I wanted to see and go everywhere I wanted to go!!! So roll on next year."
Ginni and Peter Rawlinson, May 2008
"I’m sure we would have missed many things if it hadn’t been for your advice particularly where to find the Slavonian Grebes."
Ken and Pam Russell, May 2008
"On an early morning visit to Loch Garten we watched a Capercaillie, 2 Osprey and heard a Cuckoo. We followed the taped tour around Glenlivet learning interesting historical anecdotes, seeing Snipe on a telegraph pole and Crossbill in Clash Wood. Another day, after dinner saw Roe Deer just where you said by the golf course. On the way home went up Cairn Gorm managing to see a Ptarmigan..."
